This forested hike or mountain bike ride offers limited views of Luxor Pass, Mount Crook, and the Mitchell Range. Unfortunately, the mountain view from the highway is better than the one you’ll have on this trail. It’s a long walk in the woods, yet it makes for a nice leisurely mountain bike ride. Unfortunately, the mountain view from the highway is better than the one you’ll have on this trail. It’s a long walk in the woods, yet it makes for a nice leisurely mountain bike ride. The trail begins on the Dolly Varden fire road, which also serves as a mountain bike trail. The well-maintained road is lined with spruce, aspen, lodgepole pine, and Douglas fir. You may also spot blue clematis, tiny white northern anemones, purple common fleabane, wild strawberries, and Indian paintbrush.
