Three short trails wind through mature forest stands to rocky beaches, outcrops, and tidal pools. Well worth the two-hour trip from downtown Victoria, this must-see Island destination is one of Vancouver Island’s “best-kept secrets” and known for its variety of marine life such as gooseneck barnacles, purple sea urchins, sea stars, anemones, snails, and mussels. Because Juan de Fuca Marine Trail and West Coast Trail are a stone’s throw away, you might want to plan to hike one of these two trails with room for a day trip to Botanical Beach.
