Here is a varied low-level hike that samples some of the more recent additions to Belcarra Park’s trail system. Using the Woodhaven Gate parking lot as a starting point, you can take an unusual walk around a swamp before descending through the forest to circumnavigate and enjoy the amenities of Sasamat Lake. If you prefer solitude on your outing, best to make this an out-of-season walk—Sasamat Lake is enormously popular on fine summer weekends.
