A less strenuous addition to the above Mount Arrowsmith routes, this historic trail was used by the Canadian Pacific Railway to carry guests on horseback to the Cameron Lake Chalet. More recent trail extensions and relocations take this series of moderate switchbacks through second-growth forest to subalpine terrain and bog ponds. Hikers are sure to find a wealth of mushroom varieties along the trail in early September.
