This trail is located south of the city of Parksville. This excellent race course is one of the most popular on Vancouver Island, mixing fast logging road with narrow, technical singletrack. The entire loop stretches 11.2 km (6.7 miles) to crest the upper portion of Macmillan-Bloedel's cutline before descending on a combination of technical singletrack and wide fire road. As you climb, the views open up as you crest Little Rock and Big Rock, and the entire valley spreads out beneath you. Once you leave the actively logged area behind, the ride continues climbing through a pleasant forest with stands of arbutus.
