This walk has plenty of variety, with its forested stretch along the Baden-Powell Trail in one direction in contrast to a return along an open power line between St. George’s Trail and Mosquito Creek. That trail itself links the Upper Lonsdale area with the old Grouse Mountain Highway, the road that gives access to the upper Mosquito Creek for hikers on the way to Mount Fromme and the wilderness north of Grouse Mountain. You, however, may use it to reach the Boy Scout trail, which intersects it partway up the slope.
