Like its neighbour to the west, Mackay Creek, some of this valley has been preserved as parkland, the most scenic sections stretching upstream from Mosquito Creek Park on its west side at the intersection of Fell Avenue and Larson Road a short distance north of Marine Drive. A kiosk at the trailhead informs you that you will share your route with the Trans Canada Trail, then you plunge almost at once into trees. Next you travel beneath Upper Levels Highway, after which you find yourself in William Griffin Park, with its recreation centre on Queens Road.
