Hollyburn Heritage Trails Professional Review and Guide
"Hollyburn has not one but two heritage trails commemorating its logging history, with self-guiding brochures available. The walk suggested here combines the two to produce one satisfying ramble. A small cairn and the distinctive blue-and-green heritage trail sign marks the beginning on the west side of the bridge spanning Lawson Creek.Almost immediately you reach a viewpoint for the Shields Log Dam and pass on up the pleasant woodland trail to meet Millstream Trail, an old logging road. Turn right and across Lawson Creek to a T-junction, where you go left. Stay on this, an old truck road, for about 5 minutes to the next fork, leaving it for what was the route of an inclined cable railway, running straight ahead until it reaches the banks of Brothers Creek, the remains of an old bridge still visible across the stream."
