Goldie Lake Professional Review and Guide
"“What do you know of Seymour, who only Seymour know?” Such a question may well be asked of the many visitors to Mount Seymour Provincial Park who drive to the top parking area, inspect the downhill ski facilities around it, then depart wondering what all the fuss is about. As an interesting way of finding out more, this hike over park trails may provide an answer, taking you as it does through cool forest to a small picturesque lake situated a little below the level of the parking area and to the east of it."
--Mary & David Macaree, 109 Walks in British Columbia's Lower Mainland (Greystone Books).
It's an energetic walk in the woods, but little more. The lake is little reward for the effort. At the cabins, the trail markers disappeared (perhaps we went too far), and we ended up taking a fairly steep descent created by mountainbikers to meet up with the perimeter trail well before the junction. August 4 the trail was still damp, sometimes soggy, with snow still remaining in the occasional area.
