Mount Cokely

Mount Cokely Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a historic trail, now with a loop route passing an abandoned ski slope. Optional ascent to Mt. Cokely summit, a spur of the Mt. Arrowsmith massif. The trail to the lookout--the most popular part of the route--is carefully engineered, graded with mostly smooth-surfaced dirt and switchbacked to keep slopes gradual. From the lookout to the abandoned ski lift the new trail is narrow and a little overgrown but generally easy and well marked.

The historic CPR trail from the junction with the lookout trail to the old ski lifts is mostly smooth and easy, but there are some muddy patches, deadfall and small stream crossings. The top section is narrow and root-covered but clear. Some climb the trail in winter and early spring, using snowshoes."
