Marriott Meadows Professional Review and Guide
"One of the attractions of the Duffey Lake area is the ability to drive a paved road to 1300 m (4300 ft), making alpine terrain a feasible day hike. This trip leads to a readily accessible mountain basin with pleasant meadows and subalpine lakes. The Whistler Section of the Alpine Club of Canada is currently building the Wendy Thompson Memorial Hut at the west end of the lower lake, as well as improving the access road and trail. It is also possible to hike to more lakes another 400 m (1300 ft) above the basin. Many of the adjacent peaks are steep and to reach their tops requires some scrambling ability, but there is good ridge walking to be had."
