This is another hike that takes you into an unspoiled region of great natural beauty in the high country. It is on the divide leading to the Stein Valley Heritage Provincial Park, although the trail between Cottonwood Creek and Stein Lake is currently closed due to a 1996 fire. However, this alpine divide has numerous lakes to explore and many fine summits of no technical difficulty. Note that the Lizzie Cabin is 2 hours past Lizzie Lake, in the subalpine. The cabin, which is open to the public, and the trail are maintained by the British Columbia Mountaineering Club.
