The one-time railway track between Stave Falls and Ruskin gave us a walk along the west side of Hayward Lake, one of the stretches of water created by the Western Canada Power Company but now operated by B.C. Hydro, its successor. More recently, in the forest along the lake’s east side, B.C. Hydro has built Reservoir Trail, which, combined with the Railway Trail, makes possible a circumambulation full of interest and variety.
