Kettle Valley Railway Carmi Subdivision/Midway to Penticton Professional Review and Guide
"The section of the KVR between Midway and Penticton is known as the Carmi Subdivision, offering 215 kilometers of delightful cycling on a well-traveled trail and a relatively level terrain. However, the distance can challenge your legs and your endurance. So, pack your panniers, pump up your tires and get ready for an exhilarating three to four day cycle trip. Oh, and if you came for the views, you won't be disappointed."
--Dan & Sandra Langford, Cycling The Kettle Valley Railway (Rocky Mountain Books).
This (was) and will be again be one of the best rides in British Columbia
Sections of this trail especially the sections around the Myra Canyon were sustantially damaged by forest fires, unfortunatly several of the famous trestles were destroyed.
This trail is impassable at this time, there is a rebuilding program planned, and the majority of the funding is in place.
