Let's first of all clear up a misnomer: Aldergrove “lake” is in fact a spring-fed, manmade swimming pool, especially suitable for children. This makes the park a great place for a family picnic, as well as a nature walk. Cyclists and horse riders are also catered to in this 250-ha (625-acre) stretch of rolling countryside in the central Fraser Valley, but the Pepin Brook Trail has been designated for walkers only and offers a quiet ramble through woodland and riparian (stream bank) meadow. Highlights: Forest, meadow and stream; wildflowers; Salish suckers. Terrain: Ups and downs. Forest and meadow trails.
