Long Lake Loop Professional Review and Guide
"There are so many trails and old logging roads east of Highway 97 in the 108 Mile area that practically any combination will provide a good hike.
This particular loop has an especially attractive section where it winds around a long peanut-shaped pond filled with the usual assortment of wildfowl. There are views of the wooded hills to the east of Soda Lake, and a little clambering up the hillsides by the pond enables a long look back down the valley to the cattle pens and sagging buildings of 111 Mile."
--Colin Campbell, Trails of the Southern Cariboo (Rocky Mountain Books).
