There are so many trails and old logging roads east of Highway 97 in the 108 Mile area that practically any combination will provide a good hike. This particular loop has an especially attractive section where it winds around a long peanut-shaped pond filled with the usual assortment of wildfowl. There are views of the wooded hills to the east of Soda Lake, and a little clambering up the hillsides by the pond enables a long look back down the valley to the cattle pens and sagging buildings of 111 Mile.
