The complete Skyline Trail links Skagit Valley Provincial Park with Manning Provincial Park. However, the complete hike is a long, long day; then there is the time required for a vehicle shuttle. The trip described here starts at Strawberry Flats, ascends the Skyline I Trail, drops to Despair Pass, ascends Snow Camp Mountain and ends at the top of Lone Goat Mountain. This may sound tough, but remember that this is a B.C. Parks trail, therefore the grades are mild, there are lots of switchbacks and the tread is wide.
