Iceline Trail / Little Yoho / Yoho Valley Loop

Iceline Trail / Little Yoho / Yoho Valley Loop Professional Review and Guide

"This hike offers some of the most fantastic scenery in Yoho National Park, including close-up views of the Emerald Glacier. From close-up views of glaciers to crystal-clear mountain lakes and rivers, golf-course green forests, and a sea of rocky moraines, this hike has it all. On a sunny day you’ll enjoy absolutely spectacular views of area glaciers and mountain peaks, which contrast sharply with the blue sky.

The trail starts north of the Whiskey Jack Hostel with 1.0 kilometer of densely forested switchbacks."

This is a great hike with excellent mountain, glacier and waterfall views. Spend a night out there to hike the whaleback.

This is one of the best hikes I have ever taken. It has everything: incredible scenery, steep accents and decents, a glacier walk (if you want to go off trail), fording glacier streams (very cold - take extra socks) and magnificent lakes and waterfalls. It is a serious hike, but my wife and I did it in one day. The only problem with it is at the end when you have a long flat 5 mile trail to get back to the trail head. Roger Blond
