A relatively flat fire road that follows the east side of the Beaverfoot River before reaching the Lower Ice River warden cabin and then the Upper Ice River warden cabin. Mountain views are limited. This low-elevation valley trail certainly does not attract the number of backcountry hikers found on any other trail in Yoho; in fact, you’d be lucky if you pass another human being the entire time you’re on the trail. You may, however, encounter some other forms of wildlife. As I was sprinting down the trail with the bush crashing behind me, I did not stop to identify the stalking creature; I just scrambled on with the hope of never finding out what it was.
