Gorman Creek Professional Review and Guide
"This wide logging road takes you high onto the eastern edge of the Purcell Mountains toward Gorman Lake, a tiny glacial tarn. The 21.24-mile out-and-back circuit winds from the manicured greens of the Golden Golf and Country Club, high into a remote wilderness valley. The route provides some great views of the Dogtooth Range of the Purcells and the lush growth along some of its many avalanche slopes. As you roll along one section, the road cuts across a steep side-cut with a sheer drop to a lush valley on your right. The combination of flourishing avalanche slope and regenerating clear-cuts makes for some ideal grizzly habitat. Don't forget to pack along an extra water bottle for the climb."
