Augerpoint Mountain

Augerpoint Mountain Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Switchbacks through forest to a gradual ascent along high, rocky table land studded with tiny tarns and great views of surrounding peaks and Buttle Lake.

This is not a publicly maintained park trail. It was built by a local, Jack Shark, to bypass a forest fire area and rejoin a former route. Though unsignposted, it is a clear trail and well used by, amongst others, private and commercially guided groups making the backpacking traverse from Paradise Meadows and Mt. Albert Edward."
