Great Divide Trail: Amiskwi Pass to David Thompson Heritage Trail trailhead Professional Review and Guide
"Easy walking on gravel roads with 1.6 km of moderate cross-country hiking. This unique segment of the GDT is nearly all road. Thru-hikers will enjoy walking on this remote road in comparison to the poor trail elsewhere in the section. Below Amiskwi Pass, the road crawls along the high valley walls of the upper Blaeberry River affording excellent views of the Mummery Glacier, an arm of the Freshfield Icefield that straddles the Divide.Driving the Blaeberry River Road you will encounter three B.C. Forestry Recreation campgrounds: Split Creek Mummery Creek and Cairnes Creek. For overnighting on the trail, there is random camping, Cairnes Creek Forestry Recreation Campground and Amiskwi Lodge (contact Golden Forest District in advance). Descending cross-country from Amiskwi Pass, you will soon happen upon the Amiskwi Lodge trail."
