Imagine a perfect view of the southern Rockies. This excellent cycling trip leads you from Fernie to the summit of Morrissey Ridge, where that view can be found. At your feet the city of Fernie nestles in the valley below the peaks of the Three Sisters. Away to the east, the mountains of the Continental Divide form a rugged and often snow-covered skyline; to the south stretch the ridges and peaks of the border ranges; to the west, above the Elk valley; the Lizard Range rises and beyond it lies the Rocky Mountain Trench. It's Fernie's best viewpoint and an excellent spot to spend time catching rays and admiring the view. The initial cascading descent delivers as much action, speed and airtime as you and your bike can handle. The remainder of the ride is a fast downhill cruise. It's a fitting end to a wonderful trip
