The Amiskwi Valley has seen it all! Once a pristine wilderness, it was logged extensively in the 1960's. Perhaps it was nature's wrath that brought the firestorms of the early 1970's. The last straw was when a logging road was pushed almost to Amiskwi Pass from the north and much of the valley north of the park was logged. Today the Amiskwi is a quiet place where nature is attempting to heal itself—a slow process indeed.
