This trail is located northeast of Courtenay. This trail begins at the top of Mount Washington Ski Hill and literally drops straight down the mountain to the base in 2.32 km (1.45 miles). To access this madness, you can roll your way for a few kilometers up the gravel access road or hop on the new Eagle Express Quad Chairlift for an easier approach. Using the chairlift, you can ride it as many times as it takes to trash your body sufficiently. For solid riders, this trail is nirvana. It offers effortless elevation gain followed by solid downhill riding. The ability to hone your skills by continual mileage on a familiar course is one way to become a great downhiller. Expect bruises, but in between the pain, what a rush!
