Mount Kerr is located east of Wild Horse Ridge saddle. The peak itself is hidden from most points along the ridge, but a good reference point is provided by the microwave tower clearly visible from Wild Horse. Mount Kerr lies one hour beyond the tower. The hike, which requires about three hours of steady, sometimes narrow ridge walking, is generally considered the most spectacular in the Marble Range. There are wonderful rainbow-coloured scree slopes on the south side of the ridge and spurs of spectacular jagged limestone cliffs running off to the north.
