You will find a chain of rock-lined soaking pools along a gravel beach on the scenic Lussier River. All have comfortable sandy bottoms and are kept clean by the ample flow of the springs. The popular pools are accessible all year thanks to the logging trucks, and the uppermost pool should be above water even during spring runoff. The springs bubble first into a small wooden tub that registers 110 degrees F/43.3 degrees C, then flow beneath a deck into a large and very toasty soaking pool. The outflow, tempered by a trickle from a cold spring, fills another large soaker just below. Succeeding pools, each slightly cooler than the one above, emerge as the river recedes through the summer.
