All who have traveled Highway 1 east from Vancouver are aware of this little mountain just beyond Abbotsford. Although a 4WD road comes close to the top, the trails are well separated from it. The east and west trails are part of the Centennial Trail that makes its way over the shoulder of the mountain. Thus you may go to the summit and back from either trailhead or, with a two-car party, turn the outing into a crossover. Chadsey Lake and the top of the mountain are within Sumas Mountain Provincial Park. The lower west trail and part of the east trail are within Fraser Valley Regional Road District’s Sumas Mountain Regional Park.
