Aldergrove Lake Regional Park Professional Review and Guide
"Do not be misled by the presence of the word “lake” in the title. The body of water so designated is, in fact, no more than a large outdoor swimming pool. Still, GVRD Regional Parks Department is working to make the park fit its name by creating a more realistic lake with nature walks in its eastern purlieu where formerly was an unsightly quarry.Shortly after getting under way on the pleasantly winding trail, you pass two trails to the right that connect with the bridle trail running higher up and farther to the south. Ignore these if you prefer the shorter walk and descend gently into the valley on the left to cross the long arching bridge over the brook and the adjacent marsh, an area oftentimes waterlogged thanks to the activity of beavers."
