From the 108 Heritage Site, walk south 50m, and turn right onto a path alongside the creek. At the intersection with the lake trail a few metres in, turn right toward the creek bridge. From this point, the trail winds around 108 Lake with homes on the right for the first 3 km. A series of attractive bays and lagoons crossed by bridges are features of this first stretch, before the trail straightens out, then becomes winding again as it nears the West Beach picnic site.
