From the parking lot across from the 108 Heritage Site, walk south to the Highway 97 underpass. The tunnel provides access to trails on the east side of the 108. The hike to the lookout is a popular one, however, most walkers tend to go up and back the same way. The loop provides more variety and also the opportunity to design your own return leg by opting for a different combination of trails illustrated on the cross country ski map available at the Hills Resort and also posted at the intersection of ski trails #2 and #3. From the top there are fine views of 108 Lake and beyond to the west.
