Cameron Lake Professional Review and Guide
"This trail runs along the western shore of Cameron Lake, one of the prettiest lakes in the Waterton-Glacier area. An interpretive display describes the ecology of the subalpine forest found along the lake. From the picnic area, the trail runs through the spruce and fir woodland beside the lake, climbing and falling moderately. As it nears the head of the lake, the trail seeks out a small point where avalanches from Forum Peak have cleared away the trees. Here, hikers get outstanding views of the spectacular Mount Custer headwall and the deep turquoise waters of the lake."
