Indian Springs and Enviros Lake Professional Review and Guide
"This route can be used in a variety of ways. Undoubtedly, the quickest way into the springs is from start 2. And the quickest way to Enviros Lake is from start 1. However, if you've got two vehicles or a bike (you can bike the whole thing), I strongly recommend beginning at start 1 and taking in Enviros Lake and Indian Springs via Meadow Creek. Travel the loop east to west: never walk with your back to the mountains if you can help it. Another option is to combine this route with Lesueur Creek (#5) to make two point to points of 11.2 and 13.4 km. If you have two vehicles with good clearance the Enviros road can be driven for 2.4 km to the gate when the road is dry."
--Gillean Daffern, Kananaskis Country Trail Guide: Volume 1 (Rocky Mountain Books).
This trail travels through a variety of ecosystems, which saved it a little bit for us. The meadow walks were especially beautiful on a hot, sunny day. Travels through meadows, aspen forest and pine forest.
The directions are a bit dated, as more logging roads were put in since the book came out. If you start at the Enviros Lake end, stay to the right at the first fork in the road (as the guide says), then you'll need to take a left at the next fork (not mentioned).
The pine forest took some negotiating as many trees had blown across the path. We never found Indian Springs.
