Lineham Creek is just one of three creeks in Alberta named after John Lineham, the founder of Okotoks. The idea of going into this particular creek had never turned me on, possibly because the topo map had it totally covered in a green wash. But one day by merest chance we dropped into the valley from the ridge tops and were much taken by its sense of wildness. Game/hunter trails can be baffling at times, so routefinding skills are needed.
