This valley leads to the one break in the horseshoe of mountains enclosing Junction Creek. This is not the same as saying the route over to Picklejar Lakes is a doddle. This is a rugged hike with steep scree on the south side of the col. The working name comes from the three-tier waterfall that identifies the valley from Junction Creek.
