The Thompson Creek campground is very large. To accommodate the many campers, a second camping, or overflow area, has been constructed to the west. Campers created and continue to use a hiking path that leads up a low hill above the overflow camping area. Beautiful views of snowcaps to the west and north greet you before you climb over to another ridge for an equally inspiring view of the North Saskatchewan River.
