The British Army Training Unit, Suffield, BATUS for short, practiced rock climbing in this gorge. One soldier lost his life here. Walk on the ridge above the creek to access the viewpoint of the gorge. Knowing that one British soldier lost his life in the canyon should discourage you from attempting a scramble down to the creek and the waterfall
