This Gorge Creek/Threepoint Creek connector takes you over the open ridge at GR609178. It's usually traveled in combination with other trails to make loops, the smallest possible being a 13 km circuit incorporating Gorge Creek, Volcano Ridge, Link Creek and Gorge Link trails. If starting from the south end the watershed is a good objective for a spring conditioning hike that will leave you breathless!
