This is a fairly strenuous walk up a grassy ridge with fantastic views. Unlikely though it may seem, you share the trail with hard-core mountain bikers who, unlike myself who uses a bike to get to the bottom of something, can be seen all along the ridge top, pushing in a north to south direction to take advantage of a challenging downhill. Hikers, too, can combine the ridge with route #311 which, of course, makes it a two vehicle trip. If you're lucky like us you can cadge a lift back along the highway with acquaintances you meet on the summit. Warning: The other "obvious" loop with Ford Creek trail is an arduous undertaking with a height gain of over 1000 m whichever way round you tackle it.
