This shapely mountain, mistakenly called "Bandit" by climbers some 25 years ago (hence the name "Outlaw"), is from this direction a simple scree ascent sans band. Getting there requires sure-footedness on steep scree and an eagle eye to search out sketchy trails. By biking up Big Elbow trail it can be done in one exhausting day (37 km return, 1416 m height gain).
