The logging road leading to the Great Divide Trail and beyond to the very foot of the High Rock Range is unexpectedly pleasing, largely due to the type of country it travels through: the wall-to-wall meadows of the valley, the winding trout stream, the ever-present backcloth of the mountains. Know that beyond Lost Creek turnoff, a newer road supercedes the one described in the second edition.
