Salter's Brook—with an apostrophe—was named by George Dawson in 1884 after his packer. He moaned, just as you will, about the stony creekbed that is continually crossed and recrossed. Nonetheless, this is flat easy walking between Plateau Mountain and Mt. Burke to the pass between Salter and Pekisko creeks.
