The fastest and least interesting way between the Oldman River and Lost Creek, though not totally without interest at the south end. Basically, you follow a cutline and snowmobile route signed "Oyster Excursion". The trail as marked on the topo map is completely wrong. If you have a yen for lost trails and a week to spare you can search for the old pack trail used by early travelers including Doctor George who discovered a massive bed of fossil oyster shells Corbicula accidentalis and Ostrea glabra Wyomingensis at the head of Oyster Creek. I have been unable to find any sign of the trail in the south fork of Lost Creek; no doubt it's been overlaid by the cutline and logging road. Which brings me to logging. ONGOING LOGGING by Cowley Forest Products is affecting the first part of the route.
