Together with a cutline, the Galena Miracle Mine access road (the road to Bearspaw's claims) make a very fast, if not too interesting approach to the Great Divide Trail. LOGGING IS IN PROGRESS but should not significantly affect the route. There may even be a bridge over Straight Creek. In fall, the whole area is besieged by hunters, some of whom don't seem too particular about leaving carcasses lying around for the grizzlies to sniff at. This is not a scenario you wish to stumble across unless testing one of Troy Hurtubise's grizzly suits.
