A fairly strenuous walk, initially through pine forest and flower-filled meadows below the eastern escarpment of Hailstone Butte and finally over a ridge to a fishing lake stocked with Arctic grayline (catch & release). The route is entirely unofficial and therefore not signposted or marked in any way. Expect some steep hills, minor creek crossings which can be jumped and an indistinct section across meadow marked by cairns. For the more adventurous.
