Aqua-coloured Taylor Lake, with its turbulent feeder stream and its dramatic setting (Mt. Bell to the left, Panorama Ridge to the right, and in the gap between, the tip of Mt. Fay), is impressive. There is little of interest to see before you reach the lake as you hike through a dense forest of second-growth lodgepole pine. The 6.3 km long hike to Taylor Lake has a height gain of 580 m. If you want to go farther, a faint 2.1 km-long trail leads from Taylor Lake to O’Brien Lake.
