This is one of the best rides in the Lake Louise area. Not only is it technically challenging, it leads to a beautiful mountain lake surrounded by the high, glacier-clad peaks of the Bow Range. The route leads through old growth forests of subalpine fir and Engelmann spruce with an understory of rhododendron and heather. In July and August the forest floor is a high mountain flower garden.
