This trail is located at the southern extent of Highway 40 along the Forestry Trunk Road, within Kananaskis Country Provincial Recreation Area. Plateau Mountain is a short, easy out-and-back trail suitable for all riders. Its entire length lies along good gravel fire road and takes you rapidly above treeline. The trail runs for 4.32 miles, but the options for exploration at the summit are endless. The peak forms a unique combination of geology and biology. as a nunatak, a high point that rose above the glaciers during the ice age, Plateau Mountain forms an unusual landmark.
