Opal Ridge Professional Review and Guide
"Driving up Highway 40, I had often wondered if this route went. Could you get through the cliffs to the ridge top? So one day we climbed it and discovered the `gates'. We also found out this was no new discovery, but a very well-used route taken by paragliders who jump off the top. As you might expect, it's a demanding trudge to the ridge, but despite its spectacular appearance from the gas station, there's nothing to the ridge itself and no exposure to worry about. Consider an optional return down Grizzly Creek (#58)."
