Galatea Creek To Lillian Lake Professional Review and Guide
"Galatea Creek was once a place for adventurers, being fraught with difficulty and uncertainty. In the early morning, low water levels in the Kananaskis River would entice people to wade across to the `trail'. On returning in the late afternoon, they would sometimes find the river a raging torrent after the opening up of the sluice gates at Canyon Dam, and be forced to spend the night trapped on the west bank within sight of their cars. Now the trail has been rebuilt with 10 bridges, every man and his dog goes to Lillian Lake, including part-time summer rangers who pick up garbage and tick off anyone with a dog not on a leash. So the clientele has changed. Nevertheless, it’s worth dodging the crowds up this moderately strenuous trail to view beautiful Lillian Lake. Lovers of solitude can climb higher to Galatea Lakes."

Beautiful hike, well maintained trails and bridges. Very basic campground at Lillian Lake
